Junior College Admissions Counselor

Locations: Memphis, TN; Nashville, TN; Austin, DFW area, Houston, San Antonio,  TX
Collegiate Funding Advisors is a private company offering consultation to college bound families to assist in the college applications and admissions process. 

​Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
​

With oversight from the director of college planning, uses college admission education and industry experience to develop, implement, and execute the CFA College Planning System while also developing a sales pipeline of relationships to bring in new clients to CFA through referrals and strategic partnerships. 
​
  • Establish and cultivate existing relationships with but not limited to, education associations, education events, schools, churches, non-profits, businesses, and personal relationships. 
  • Attend select events as representative of the company as assigned by supervisor to establish leads for new clients. 
  •  Personally sell client families for preferred college planning program and follow intake procedures. 
  •  Manage, educate, and implement guidelines for College Planning Advisors as assigned and designated by supervisor and following policy, procedures and company guidelines. 
  •  Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures. 
  •  Work with assigned Executive Assistant to provide content and quality control for blog(s) and newsletters following company procedures and guidelines. 
  •  Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor 
 
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years or more experience in college planning or college admissions industry preferred
  • College admission counseling experience preferred
  • High School teachers with strong English Background considered 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. 
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook and CRM platform). 
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills; uses data, logic and facts to make reasoned decisions and recommendations. 
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. 
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. 
 
Travel Requirements:

Light travel is required for company wide training, conferences, and counselor related events.
